It is a
cardinal policy of Ideke to strictly recruit our personnel
particularly the semi-skilled and unskilled workforce from the Host
community where we work particularly those with the minimal
qualifications. By so doing, we empower and develop manpower within
our Host communities; thus they see us as partners and , and feel
committed to ensuring our security and passage at all times
Industrial peace is a prerequisite for doing business particularly
in a volatile environment such as the Niger Delta.

We equally assist in genuine community development projects of our
host communities; payment of annual honorarium to the various
Community Development Associations and provision of craft internship
sponsorship.
It is in line with the above that we adopt the following strategy in
our relationship with our host communities:
Appoint Community Liaison Officers (CLO) from immediate host
communities in order to strengthen relationship and communication.
Generate and document hard copies of Memorandum of Understanding MOU
duly signed by the designated company representatives, CLO, Chiefs,
Elders and Youth Associations of the host communities.
Implement to the latter all such issues as may be contained
in the
said MOU and vice versa.
Organise regular TOWN HALL meeting with designated community
representatives on ways of strengthening relations with them.
Pay annual honorarium to host communities which are usually used by
them to sponsor genuine community development projects.
Remain open and proactive in matters that will be of common interest
to all concerned.
